December 1st, 2024
Summary of Main Topics
Events Update:
The new "Get Notified" button sends in-world reminders one day and one hour before the event starts. Additional reminders (30 minutes or 15 minutes) were suggested, but it might be a bit too much.
In-app reminders and notifications will be added soon.
Upcoming Features:
Videos and social media preview links are to launch by December 2024 or January 2025, and they are the main priority right now.
Video uploads: The target is a maximum of 2 minutes, a 100MB limit, and 720p resolution.
Only Primfeed Pro and EasyBloggers paid packages will have access to videos.
I'm unsure how to handle the GIF files yet, but it's being reviewed.
Misc:
Commitment to making Primfeed an extension of SL rather than a replacement for in-world interaction.
Maybe allowing more pictures per post for premium members. Right now, it's limited to 4.
Work still needs to be done to make the Feeds more appealing. Probably an onboarding process to let you choose your default homepage layout.

Answers to Questions
Direct Messaging:
Mixed feedback on Direct Messaging (DM) functionality; the compromise might be a profile badge indicating openness to in-world communication.
Hyperlinked text in posts (like in SL [text https://secondlife.com] ):
Probably not, while I understand why people want it, right now I don’t want to allow it to prevent any scams or phishing. I don’t have to team to add extra moderation, and I prefer them to focus their energy on moderating the pictures
Will our portfolios (aka personal gallery in our profiles) ever get the same treatment as the main gallery?
Yes absolutely
Groups vs Tags:
Debate over groups vs. hashtags as organizational tools, with a preference for hashtag-based discovery with search. The audience agrees that groups from Flickr aren't the best way to handle this.
Is there a timeline for when chat will come and why did you choose to do videos first?
A lot of residents rely on videos to promote their products or just want to share a random bit of their second life, and I feel like it’s more important than DMs because you can message someone in-world.
Will we be able to see what picture a user have been tagged in, like in flickr the about section?
At some point, yes
When do you think we'll be able to mass import our old flickr posts to primfeed?
I have to admit that I have more “important” features I want to implement in 2025, but I heard that and want to work on making the transition easier.
When can a timer be added to show how long before we can post public and why not increase public to 10?
Yes, a timer will be added, even maybe a progress bar. For the number of pictures, probably not. At the beginning of Primfeed, a lot of residents posted the same scene from 40 different angles, and it ended up spamming the Public Gallery, which is supposed to be your best artwork. And I think I'm happy with the state of the Public Gallery right now.
Are you planning on including an API endpoint for primfeed, for external access to content?
No
Gallery Enhancements:
Consideration for showcasing tagged pictures and trending tags.
Editing Posts:
A rework of the current posts creation window is planned for 2025 to allow a better understanding of the options and edition of the pictures
