Getting Started

Primfeed is a social network built for Second Life™, where you sign in with your avatar instead of an email and share your in-world through a feed, a public gallery, profiles, albums, and events. It's made for residents, creators, and store owners who want to show off their looks, builds, and shops, and to keep up with the people and brands they love.

Your Primfeed profile is where other residents get to know you, and you set it all up in one place: the Edit my profile dialog on your own profile page. From there you can change your display name, write a short bio, and swap your profile picture and banner.

Connecting your viewer links a Third-Party Viewer (TPV) like Firestorm to your Primfeed account, so you can create a Primfeed post with a picture straight from inside Second Life. You authorize the connection once, on a Primfeed consent page, and from then on your viewer can post on your behalf as you, or as one of your stores. It's a one-time link you can review or remove any time in your settings.

A Primfeed post is a photo or video from Second Life, shared with a caption to the people who follow you. Creating one is a quick two-step flow: you add your media and write a caption, then choose a few settings (most importantly a maturity rating) and publish. This guide walks you through it from start to finish.

Primfeed gives you three places to discover Second Life content: your Feed (with Following and Discovery tabs), and the Public Gallery on the homepage where residents submit their best pictures for the most reach. Personalization

Content filters are per-account settings that decide which posts you see across Primfeed: by maturity rating, by AI or 3D-render tags, and by whether reposts and quote posts appear in your feeds. They live in one place, the Content tab in Settings, and every change saves the moment you pick it (there's no separate save button).

Primfeed's appearance settings let you pick a light, dark, or system-matched theme and decide whether each post shows its text or its picture first. Both options live in the Personalization tab of your settings, and every change saves the moment you pick it; there's no Save button to press.

Add managers, switch between personal and store accounts, and transfer data between them.

Store Accounts

A manager is someone you trust to act on your store's Primfeed page on your behalf: they can post, comment, like, and edit your business page's information. You add and remove managers yourself from your store's settings, and how many you can have depends on your Primeasy package.

On Primfeed, a store account (your business page) is a separate identity you act as instead of your personal account, so posts, comments, likes, follows, and bookmarks all belong to the store rather than to you.

Primeasy is the suite of web-based tools for Second Life™ brands: EasyBloggers for managing a blogger team, EasySupport for in-world customer support, and EasySubscribers for newsletters. It is a separate product from Primfeed, but the two are tied together: your store is created on Primeasy, and that store is what gives your brand its page on Primfeed.

Security & Privacy

Your Primfeed account is tied to your Second Life avatar, and the Security tab in your settings is where you control how you sign in and who has access: your login method, your password, the devices that are signed in, and the viewer (TPV) tokens that can post for you. Everything here is part of your account at no extra cost; none of these security tools require Primfeed Pro.

Blocking a profile hides your posts and comments from that person and hides theirs from you, and existing comments and quote posts between you are archived. You can undo a block at any time, either from the profile or from the Blocked list in your Relationship settings. Blocking is separate from reporting, which flags a profile to the Primfeed team and changes nothing about what either of you can see.

Your profile visibility settings decide who can see your Primfeed profile and whether you turn up when residents search, and they live together in the Personalization tab of Settings. There are two separate controls: Profile visibility (Private or Public) decides whether logged-out residents can see your profile at all, and Show in search decides whether your profile appears in Primfeed's search results.

Reporting flags a profile, post or comment to the Primfeed team to review against the Terms of Service. It is anonymous to the other resident, and it does not block them or hide their content, so block them as well if you also want them out of your view.

Deleting your Primfeed account schedules it for permanent removal in 30 days, and you can undo that any time before then simply by logging back in. During the grace period your profile stays public, but you can't log in normally until you cancel the request.

How you manage your Primfeed Pro subscription depends on how you pay for it: online with a card is managed through the Stripe billing portal, while an in-world Linden dollar (L$) subscription is renewed by visiting the mainstore in Second Life.

Cosmetics are avatar decorations, a border drawn around your profile and feed picture, and you can buy them two ways: online with a card (handled by Stripe) or in-world with Linden dollars (L$) using your Primfeed HUD.

Your Inventory is where every cosmetic you own lives, and "activating" one means choosing it as the decoration drawn around your profile picture. Cosmetics on Primfeed are avatar decorations (a border that frames your avatar), and you can keep as many as you like in your Inventory while showing only one at a time.

Everything about publishing on Primfeed: maturity ratings, commercial and AI labels, media limits, polls, scheduling, product tags, and the Public Gallery.

The Public Gallery is Primfeed's homepage feed, and you add a post to it by flipping the "Submit this post to the Public Gallery" switch in the post settings before you publish. Submitting gives your post the most reach on Primfeed, but each picture you submit counts against a rolling 24-hour quota, so the gallery stays fair for everyone.

A maturity rating tells everyone how mature your post's content is, using one of four levels: General, Moderate, Adult, or Adult+. Primfeed asks you to set it on every post before you publish. Choosing the right rating keeps your content in front of the residents who want to see it and keeps your account in good standing. Rating your post isn't optional.

Primfeed labels let you disclose when a post is a commercial content and whether the product you're showing was altered by AI or rendered outside Second Life, so other residents (and the Public Gallery) see your content honestly tagged.

On a free Primfeed account you can upload images up to 1500×1500, files up to 50 MB each, and videos up to 45 seconds; with Primfeed Pro those limits jump to 10,000×10,000, 200 MB per file, and 10-minute videos. These limits apply to every photo and video you add to a post.

Scheduling lets you pick a future date and time for a post, and Primfeed publishes it for you automatically when that moment arrives. It's handy for lining up a release while you're away, or timing a post to land when your followers are most active.

A poll lets you ask your community a question and have them vote on the answers, right inside one of your posts. You add it while you're writing the post, set your own choices and an expiry date, and everyone who sees the post can cast a single vote and watch the results update live.

Tagging products lets you link the items from an Primeasy store to a post, so the things you're showing off are spelled out for your followers right on the post. You add these product links in the post composer, on the second step, under the EasyBloggers Products section.

Every post on Primfeed has a row of buttons that let you react to it: you can like it, comment on it, repost or quote it to your own followers, and copy a link to share it anywhere. These are the everyday ways you show appreciation and pass good content along to the residents who follow you.

An event on Primfeed is a listing for something happening in Second Life, a party, a sale, a show, with a name, a description, an in-world location, a start time, and a duration, so other residents can find it and get reminded before it begins.

An Album is a named collection of Primfeed posts, a way to gather pictures and videos into themed sets like a photo shoot, a build series, or an event recap. Albums live on the Albums tab of your profile, each gets its own shareable link, and you can feature your favorites at the top of your profile. You can also make an album shared, so other people contribute their own posts to it while you stay its owner.

Following adds a person's or store's posts to your Following feed on Primfeed, while subscribing to a store signs your Second Life avatar up for that store's newsletters and new-release notices, delivered in-world. They look similar because both have a button on a profile, but they do completely different things, and you can use either, both, or neither.

Pinning a post keeps it at the very top of your profile, so it's the first thing visitors see when they land on your page. It's a handy way to highlight your latest release, an important announcement, or a post you're especially proud of. You can pin any post you own, and it stays pinned until you unpin it or pin a different one.

Bookmarks let you privately save any post on Primfeed so you can come back to it later, all collected on your own Bookmarks page. Think of it as a personal "save for later" list, handy for a viewer tip you want to keep, or a product you plan to buy.

Primfeed has two ways to search: a quick search in the top bar that finds residents and stores by name, and a dedicated Search page that finds posts and lets you narrow them down with filters.
