Search Shared Albums

Could we add a way to search for albums? I wouldn't be surprised if some albums end up like groups on Flickr. They were a source of inspiration and large scale updates. I think being able to search for these albums would be very beneficial to the community.

Feature to add addition function for albums

Any possibility of adding a feature of sharing albums like a joint album to show up on the contributor's profile as well?

Add more comment policy

Perhaps Primfeed could benefit from a reply control feature similar to X/Twitter, allowing users to choose who can respond to their posts. For example: • Everyone • Accounts you follow • Only accounts you mention • Verified accounts This would provide more flexibility, help users manage interactions more comfortably, and encourage more meaningful conversations within the community.

Post notifications

It would be neat if we could turn on notifications for certain accounts. I often miss posts that I would have liked to be notified about from shops & friends, so I think this would be a nice quality of life feature!

Edit date & time of images/posts/products (for brand pages)

I think this will be a difficult one to consider. But now with the gallery update I would like to consider dropping Flickr completely and stick with just Primfeed. There's something holding me back, which is: I'd like to add my old photos/products to my Primfeed but have them appear in their original order - by editing their date - which is something Flickr actually allow us to do. I wouldn't wanna upload my older pictures/products and have them at the top of my feed and gallery, it would make a mess. My suggestion would be to have it just a little bit different than Flickr. There we can edit both dates - so I'd suggest that on Primfeed it could show both the date it was uploaded (which we wouldn't be able edit for moral reasons) and also show the date it was taken (which we would be able to edit), and actually have the feed show the posts on the feed/gallery on the order it was taken. Primfeed always gives people the choice to pick one or the other, but in this case (show in order by date taken or uploaded) I wouldn't like people to choose their own default, but the brand page to pick which the default for their own profiles individually, so they can have their brand be shown as they want it to be seen (which is why I'd also like the option for each brand page for default feed/gallery view to work like this). · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · So in summary: • Have brand pages be able to edit dates - could even be a PRO-only feature; • Pictures show both the date taken & date uploaded, if the date is the same then have it be shown just 1 - or maybe show just "date taken: xx xx xx" and the date uploaded upon hovering the mouse above it; • Not able to change the "date uploaded", just the "date taken"; • The feed/gallery show by default "by date taken" so it represents the brand like it's supposed to - or have the own brand pick which will be the default for their own page, not the users (but they would be able to temporarily change with the dropdown menu). · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · The other option would be to make it work exactly like it does on Flickr, but I think that won't align with Primfeed's vision - in any case here's a brief explaination of how it works there: It saves the date/time of upload as "date uploaded" and leaves "date taken" blank - in which we can edit both freely. By default the profile shows in order of "by uploaded", but there's the dropdown menu to change to "by taken" manually and I believe that setting is saved locally for that person on their browser only. The screenshots below are from Flickr options, just to illustrate. · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · Thank you for all the amazing work so far! 💖

Implement time limit to unfollow an account

We are seeing a rush of predatory accounts going through lists of people, faving a few things, following then immediately unfollowing the accounts to make it appear they are following. They are targeting newer accounts and it is extremely predatory. Is there any way there can be a time limit, ie you follow someone and there is a 72 hour lock where you cannot unfollow that person. This will mitigate and possibly prevent these predatory accounts from improperly inflating their follower count while not providing support to those they tricked into following them.

Hashtag grouping

Given the recent update that makes hashtags clickable, I think another feature that lets you see a list of the hashtags you “follow” would make them even more useful. I picture it a bit like subreddits, where you can subscribe to them and add them to your favorites, displayed somewhere on the screen so you can browse everything that’s been posted on a specific topic.

Show view count on photos/posts

Currently being able to see likes is of course helpful information, but I find view count to be even more helpful. Not everyone thinks to actively like/favorite posts, even if they do enjoy them, and seeing how many people are interested enough to actually click on and see your photos and posts individually would be great. This would also be helpful for bloggers and brands, as many brands/sponsors look at view counts on Flickr more than they look at the number of likes.

Default rating in their account settings

I was thinking about possible ways to help with the content rating issue, and something Flickr has been doing for a long time came to mind. On Flickr, users can set a default content rating for all their posts instead of having to select it every time they upload something. In my case, for example, Moderate is always my default. When I know a post can be General, I simply change it manually. Maybe Primfeed could implement something similar — allowing each user to choose their default rating in their account settings. I think this could help prevent accidental rating mistakes and, at the same time, reduce some of the moderation workload for your team. Additionally, I’d like to suggest less restrictive content ratings and more consideration of the actual context of an image. For example, I find it difficult to understand why a casual photo of me and my friends at a swimming pool should automatically be considered Moderate simply because we’re wearing swim briefs. There is nothing inherently sexual about that context. In my country, we have a saying: “If you don’t want to see the stars, don’t look at the sky.” I don’t know how large the portion of the community that feels uncomfortable with this kind of content actually is, but I do know that a significant part of the SL community sees swimwear, underwear, and the human body very naturally and enjoys expressing themselves that way. So perhaps the question is: should we cover the entire sky simply because some people are uncomfortable looking up and seeing the stars? I believe there’s room for a better balance — protecting people who don’t want to see certain content without unnecessarily restricting everyone else. Just an idea that I thought might be useful.

Impossible to upload images during Spanish evenings

For the past few weeks, there have been specific times when it’s impossible to upload images to Primfeed. It has happened twice this week (to my knowledge). When you try to upload a photo for a post, it gets stuck loadingmaking no progress and eventually, the image just disappears. This happens while other users are successfully uploading their posts, so I’m not sure what might be causing the error. I’ve asked others, and they are experiencing the same issue.

Commercial posts from Firestorm not being tagged Commercial

When posting to Primfeed from within the Firestorm viewer, the Commercial tag is not being applied whether adding to the gallery or not. I have noticed several of my posts had to have moderation action applied to them, when they should have been marked Commercial to begin with. I tested with https://prmfd.co/p/14OT0SqZLa3i and https://prmfd.co/p/51FZwr4UoJpz to ensure a proper test both adding to the gallery and posting just to my feed. In both cases, Commercial is not set on the photo after posting despite the setting being enabled in the snapshot window.

Issue on mobile version IOS - backspace deletes too much

Lately, when using back key to delete/alter text, half or full sentences get deleted (often involving an emoticon), which is very disturbing. It makes you rewrite test multiple times and will not get it. Only solution for now is to switch to laptop. Otherwise no correction works.

Left & Right Navigation Arrows for Public & Personal Galleries

Can we please get left and right navigation arrows in the Public and Personal Galleries? 🙏 This has been a requested feature for a very long time, and it would make browsing Primfeed's galleries SO much easier. Right now, when you open an image in a gallery and want to see the next one, you have to: Open image → close image → find the next image → open it again. For photographers and anyone viewing a series of images, this gets frustrating very quickly. What we need is simply: ← Previous Image Next Image → When an image is opened in full view, users should be able to click the left or right arrow to move directly through the images without closing the viewer. This would be especially useful for: 📸 Public Gallery 🖼️ Personal Galleries 📚 Albums Even better, keyboard ← / → arrow keys could also navigate between images. Primfeed has grown so much as a photography-focused platform, and having to repeatedly close and reopen images makes gallery browsing feel unnecessarily cumbersome. Please bring this feature back to the priority list and give us those arrows! ❤️ It would be a small change from the user's perspective that would make a HUGE difference to the gallery experience. ❤️ And a little appreciation... As always, thank you to the Primfeed team for everything you continue to do for this community. We know there is a LOT that goes into building, maintaining, and improving a platform like Primfeed, and we really do appreciate all the work you put into it. Primfeed has become such an important place for Second Life photographers, creators, bloggers, and artists to share what we love. The continued updates and improvements genuinely make a difference. So here's hoping we can finally get those little ← → arrows we've been waiting for! 😂🖤 Thank you, Primfeed, for continuing to listen to the community and make Primfeed better. 🖤

Are Primfeed store pages indexed by Google?

Hi! I noticed that Primfeed store profile pages don't seem to be indexed by Google. For example, my public store page is: https://www.primfeed.com/avaway Even searches such as site:primfeed.com/avaway or site:primfeed.com "AvaWay" don't return the page. Is Google indexing of public store/profile pages currently supported by Primfeed? I'm wondering whether these pages are intentionally excluded from search engine indexing, or whether their content is simply not currently exposed to crawlers through SSR/prerendering. It would be really useful for stores if searching something like “Primfeed AvaWay” on Google could lead directly to the store's Primfeed page.

Red like counting in dark mode theme

Hi @Luke Rowley. Any chance you would change the colour of the liked heart count on each post from red to a lighter colour (e.g., light orange, amber…) in dark mode theme? As a person who needs accessibility adjustments on my devices I must confess that the current red against the black background doesnt give us a proper contrast (attached screenshot). Thanks for your support!

Display Total Image Count on User Profiles

First, thank you for everything you've done with Primfeed. It's been amazing watching the platform continue to grow, and features like Albums have made organizing content so much better. While browsing my own profile today, I found myself wondering: "How many images have I actually uploaded since joining Primfeed?" Surprisingly, there's no easy way to find out. Unless I'm missing something, the only option would be to scroll all the way back to my very first post and manually count every image—which obviously isn't practical for anyone who's been posting for years. It would be great if user profiles displayed a simple Total Media (or Total Images) statistic alongside the other profile stats. For example: 📷 Media: 3,439 Why this would be useful • Track personal milestones (500, 1,000, 5,000+ uploads). • Give creators a better sense of how much they've shared over time. • Eliminate the need to manually count years of content. • Add another meaningful profile statistic alongside Followers, Following, and Likes. I suggested Media rather than Images simply because it's more future-proof as Primfeed continues to evolve with videos and any future media types. This feels like a small quality-of-life feature, but I think it's one many creators would genuinely enjoy. Sometimes it's just fun to see how much you've contributed to the community over the years. Thanks again for all the hard work you continue to put into Primfeed. It really shows, and I appreciate everything you're building for the community. 🖤

Albums: Select the banner image from posts within that album

Personally, I would never upload a cover/banner for albums, and the crop you get for an album banner is random. Could the album banner perhaps be square/landscape shaped? Or could we choose the banner from the images that we have uploaded already? This would make it a lot easier to choose banners, without having to remember which external hardrive I have that one pic on 😂

I think would be cool that the albums show the maturity level in the corner. That would be set automatic by the highest level of maturity a picture have inside that album or something... as a good advice for people of what they will find inside each of them, just to maybe help keep the profile safe or not for work.

Post ordering in albums

Hi! Loving the new Albums feature — it’s a great addition. One issue though: the chronology gets jumbled, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to reorder items. Chronology is really important when grouping story-style posts, so having manual sorting would help a lot.
