Welcome to Primfeed: the social network for Second Life
Primfeed is a social network built for Second Life™, where you sign in with your avatar instead of an email and share your in-world through a feed, a public gallery, profiles, albums, and events. It's made for residents, creators, and store owners who want to show off their looks, builds, and shops, and to keep up with the people and brands they love.

There's nothing to install to get started. Your account is tied to your Second Life avatar (your legacy name and avatar UUID), so the people you connect with here are the same residents you meet in-world.

What you can do on Primfeed
Here are the main things Primfeed is built around. Each one has its own getting-started guide linked at the bottom.
Share posts
Create a post with up to 4 pictures or videos plus a caption, then publish it to your profile and your followers' feeds. You can tag a maturity rating, add a poll, mark commercial content, and (on a paid plan) schedule posts ahead of time. See Create your first post.
Browse your feed
Your Feed has two tabs: Following, which shows posts from the residents and stores you follow, and Discovery, a wider pool of recent posts to help you find new people. Both are ordered newest-first, so you always see fresh content. See Find people to follow and explore the Feed, Discovery & Public Gallery.
Get seen in the Public Gallery
The Public Gallery is Primfeed's homepage showcase. When you publish a post with media, you can submit it to the gallery to reach far more residents than your followers alone but specific rules apply. See Submit a post to the Public Gallery (and how the 24-hour quota works).
Build your profile
Your profile is your space in-world made visible: a display name, an About bio, a profile picture, and a banner, plus links to your other socials. Visitors can browse your Profile, Gallery, Events, and Albums tabs. See Set up your profile: display name, bio, picture and banner.
Organize posts into albums
Albums let you group your posts into collections, by event, by people, by theme, so people can browse your work the way you intend. You can feature your favourite albums right on your profile. See Create and manage Albums.
Find and host events
The Events page lists upcoming Second Life events you can browse and get reminders for. Tap Get notified on an event and Primfeed will message your avatar in-world 24 hours and 1 hour before it starts. See Find and get notified about Second Life events.
How to join and sign in
Go to the Primfeed login page.
Under "Don't have an account?", click "Create an account".
Enter your Second Life legacy avatar name (for example, Luke Rowley) and click "Send the in-world code".
Check your local chat in Second Life: Primfeed sends you an 8-digit code in-world.
Enter the code, tick the Terms of Service box, and click "Create my account".
That's it, your profile picture is pulled from your Second Life avatar automatically, and you're in.
Tip: The in-world code is your passwordless way in. You can set a password later in your profile settings if you'd like to sign in that way, but you never have to. The code arrives in your local chat, so make sure you're logged into Second Life when you request it or have your instant message going to your email.
The Create my account button only becomes clickable once you've both checked the Terms of Service box and entered all 8 digits. If it looks greyed out, double-check both.
Free vs. Primfeed Pro
Everything above works on a free account. Primfeed Pro is an optional upgrade that raises limits and unlocks extras: higher-resolution uploads, longer videos, scheduling posts, creating events, more albums, and more.
