Renew, cancel or manage your Primfeed Pro subscription

How you manage your Primfeed Pro subscription depends on how you pay for it: online with a card is managed through the Stripe billing portal, while an in-world Linden dollar (L$) subscription is renewed by visiting the mainstore in Second Life.

The difference between the two methods are online payments renew automatically, while in-world L$ subscriptions do not, so you renew those yourself each cycle.

Find your subscription settings

  1. Open the profile menu (your avatar, in the sidebar) → Settings.

  2. Go to the Subscription tab.

The Subscription tab tells you which kind of subscription you have. Under Current subscription you'll see one of two things:

  • "You currently have: Primfeed Pro • [interval]" with a next renewal date, which means you pay online (Stripe).

  • "You currently have: Primfeed Pro" with "Expiring on [date]", which means you pay in-world with L$.

If you don't have Pro yet, you'll see the options to subscribe instead. Knowing which one you have tells you which section below to follow.

Manage or cancel an online (Stripe) subscription

If you pay online with a card, all changes (cancelling, renewing, updating your card, or downloading invoices) happen in Stripe's secure billing portal, not inside Primfeed.

  1. Open Settings → Subscription.

  2. In the Current subscription section, click "Manage your subscription".

  3. You're taken to the Stripe billing portal. From there you can cancel your plan, change your payment method, or view your billing history.

Tip: There's no separate "cancel" button inside Primfeed for an online subscription. Cancelling is done in the Stripe portal behind the "Manage your subscription" button.

Because online subscriptions renew automatically, you don't need to do anything to keep Pro active. Your card is charged each cycle on the next renewal date shown in this section. Cancelling in the Stripe portal stops that automatic renewal.

Renew an in-world (L$) subscription

If you subscribed with Linden dollars, your Pro plan has an expiry date and does not renew on its own. To keep Pro, you renew it in-world before it expires.

  1. Open Settings → Subscription.

  2. Check the "Expiring on [date]" line so you know when you need to renew by.

  3. Click "Renew your subscription". This opens the Primfeed mainstore in Second Life, where you complete the renewal with L$.

There's no "cancel" step for an L$ subscription. Since it doesn't auto-renew, you simply let it expire by not renewing. See "What happens when your subscription lapses" below.

What happens when your subscription lapses

When a Primfeed Pro subscription ends, whether you cancelled online or let an L$ subscription expire, your account returns to the Free plan. Your account, posts, albums, and profile are not deleted; only the Pro perks stop applying. After that, Free limits take effect again, for example:

  • Image uploads are capped at 1500 × 1500 (instead of 10,000 × 10,000).

  • Maximum upload size drops to 50 MB per file (instead of 200 MB).

  • Videos are limited to 45 seconds (instead of 10 minutes).

  • You can submit 4 pictures to the Public Gallery per 24 hours (instead of 8).

  • You can keep up to 5 albums and 3 favorite albums (instead of 100 and 6).

  • Creating events and scheduling posts are no longer available.

Tip: Going back to Free doesn't remove content you created on Pro. For example, albums beyond the Free limit stay in place; you just can't create new ones past the cap until you're on Pro again.

Pricing

Primfeed Pro prices vary by currency and billing period (monthly, 6-month, and yearly options are shown when you subscribe, and the L$ price is shown in-world). Exact figures aren't listed here because they're set per region, but you can visit the settings to have the price that applies for your region.
